As a member you'll receive a unique door code and have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ​We pride ourselves on providing High End Training. We are different to other Gyms. We pride ourselves on offering a first class service providing members with incredible results. Our bespoke app and facility really sets the standard. We provide the latest Strength and Conditioning equipment to ensure our members get the most out of every training session.

​Shaded Fitness offers Weighted Plates, Dumbbells, Kettlebells & Barbells. We use the latest Assault Fitness cardio equipment with the option to connect your device to track a detailed programme. ​

Head Coach & Owner of Shaded Fitness

With over 25 years in the fitness industry, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident at any stage of life. My passion for fitness started at a young age, and I’ve been fortunate to turn that passion into a lifelong journey of coaching and support.

At Shaded Fitness, my focus is on creating a welcoming environment where people of all ages and abilities can improve their strength, mobility, and overall well-being. Whether you're looking to boost your energy, stay active, or simply feel better in your everyday life, my goal is to guide and support you in a way that feels both challenging and achievable.

I take pride in helping our clients reach their personal goals. Since opening Shaded Fitness, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of people local to Newbury on their journey to a healthier, happier life.

NIC MAYNARD

Throughout my childhood I was always active, doing sports such as ballet, tap, swimming, and roller dance (with almost 25 years on wheels!), but it wasn't until I was 16 that I first stepped foot into the gym environment. Since then, I've never looked back!


My parents always provided a great example for staying healthy and keeping fit, and I'm so grateful to them both for gently guiding me towards what is now a huge part of my life and career.

 

As well as getting myself into exercise, I also completed a degree in Diet and Health which was later followed by fitness qualifications and a whole heap of learning through my own journey. 

I love to learn and continue to push my skillset further, and I'm so lucky to be able to bring this knowledge and experience to Shaded Fitness members to guide and support them towards feeling and looking the best they ever have, focusing on their health as a number one priority.

 

Staying active, getting stronger, and focusing on overall wellness aren't just my job, they're a part of who I am, and helping clients to achieve amazing results is one of the most rewarding things in the world!
